Growing
1. Paddocks are selected carefully. In New Zealand you can not grow Brussel Sprouts in the same ground year after year because of soil disease.
2. Ground work begins. Ploughing, Rotory hoeing and spreading fertilizer. This starts in September and goes through to December.
3. When ground work is done transplanting follows close behind.
4. Once plants have been transplanted, crop maintenance starts.
5. Crops are monitored closely from transplant to harvest for pests, insects and diseases. Action is taken only when needed.
