Sprout Central

Brussel Sprouts Growers | New Zealand

Company Profile

Murray and Marcia Taylor have been growing Brussel Sprouts in the rich volcanic soils of Mt Ruapehu New Zealand since 1998.
Sprout Central Ltd was formed out of a passion for growing. Murray Taylor a founder and director in the company is a 4th generation New Zealand grower.

With many of Murray’s family still in the growing industry when his turn came, Brussel Sprouts was the only Ohakune vegetable not grown by any family member.
So therefore this became Murray’s chosen product. Starting from very small beginnings, growing only 0.2 of a hectare and supplying only a few local retailers. We have grown steadily to become one of the strongest Brussel Sprout growers in New Zealand. Currently growing 32 hectares.

We now supply Brussel Sprouts across the nation, to wholesalers, small retailers, large supermarkets, pre-packers and exporters.
﷯The one thing we haven’t changed in the last 10 years is the genuine commitment to the quality of our product, and making sure our valued customers receive quality, safe, healthy and hygienic produce. Sprout Central Ltd has been a member in the NZGAP (New Zealand Good Agricultural Practice) programme since February 2000. Where we practice sustainable growing methods to insure the best possible future for our natural
environment, product, staff and selves.
